Perhaps that Cannondale seat tube dent could be reduced by just forcing in a really long seat post?

Sounds like a way to make two problems out of one, unless you had an array of posts with 0.1mm increments (or at least a small but regular intervals), to tap it out. Probably better if the posts were spiked like insertion pins.... and after all that effort a framebuilder will probably write it off.
