  • I'm sure this is correct.

In our case the original suggestion was for a medium gear 10, but personally I think a 25 without gear restriction would be more interesting, although there's no reason not to have both.

My own 25 pb was done on a bike with a bottom gear of 86" - not ideal for riding to the start of the H25/2.

86" is easy, most of the people who ride fixed on there have to haul 100"+ up the hill

  • LFGSS - London Fourteen Gears Selected Simply

  • Shouldn't have chased that one, another early morning for me, Sub21 just got a little harder!

  • What's half an hour worth then?

  • No actual idea but based on the last two rides on the a404 it's got warmer and busier both times so definitely something.

Sunday's weather does look a bit pish anyway....

  • Not too bad? Nice tailwind up the climb at least.

  • true, time to be optimistic, at the end of the day I should be able to go sub21 under equal conditions to good Friday, so hopefully they are at least that, then I can go and do the rest of my training ride...

  • I'm fairly confident you're going to beat me btw

  • First Open on the T3?

  • H10/22 again?

  • Just picked up a second hand Bodypaint 3 with a NoPinz pocket. Sub 20 mins is guaranteed right?

  • Only if I'm racing in it. 19:55 come on!

  • Anyone got a Javelin Medium I can try for size?

  • Almost the first ride on the T3

  • excuses already lined up then ;)

@hippy yes 10/22, I really really love the A404, plus its 20 minutes from my front door!

  • I'd quite like a TT bike. My (e)FTP is getting better and I quite like just hammering away pointlessly till black most descends across my vision. And I suck at crit racing.

  • Yeah, it'd be rude not to ride it. It's pretty close for me compared to other courses but I have the small matter of 600 odd kays to ride this weekend. Audax has taken hold...

I prefer the H10/22 to the H25/2 because you don't end up on that shit H10/4(?) stretch of road.

  • You don't need a TT bike to race TTs.

  • Yeah but I broke the 25 (just)* on my road bike, and I like new shiny things.
    Plus the aeros!!!!

The first part is fairly irrelevant.

    • I then repeated it on a commute home...
  • Silly question, but CTT has two options for 'solo' riders on the A50/6 on the 25th June - one for 30 riders and one for 90 riders. Why the split entry and which one should I enter?

Aslo, is there any chance of me getting a ride at all with a measly 50m PB of 2:04:51?

  • I don't mind, it means more cheap parts on ebay when people don't use their shiny new TT bike. I'm just saying you might want to race what you have first to see if you actually like it.

  • Overflow into the women's event or something? You want the 90 rider mens one, no?

It's the comp record course and doesn't have a big field so it might be tough getting a ride in this one.

  • Shame... I threw an entry in anyway (and said I'd happily ride as reserve) so we'll see. I think my only other opportunity to ride a 50 this year will be the H50/17 in August.

  • What are you doing 8th May? All the cool kids (me) are racing the Bentley course H50/8.

Is the H50/17 the one out near Kingston Bagpuize?
