It's there and I need a bit of builders van, and 4x4 will be handy for skiing trips. I already have an economical town car which is getting destroyed with tip runs and building materials. I really want auto and have convinced myself that the relatively low mileage will make the lack of fuel economy viable.

Do it. That there is reason enough. You 'll soon see if its usefulness outweighs it's running costs.

The Masa has been given a clean bill of health, thankfully at just 22,000 miles but you never know until it's checked out by a specialist.
Immobiliser being fitted and Alpine stereo. Will get pics up as soon as possible :)

Which jeep are we talking about? Grand cherroki inside is small. If your worried about MPG there are diesel versions and ones with LPG.

That looks awesome. Let's have some footy, blurry or no, I want to hear it...

OK I'll upload it tonight

In the last few weeks I've viewed and driven a '99 996 C2, an '03 E46 M3 and a '04 AMG C55 Estate. The M3 left me a little cold, but it was a tired example and I didn't like the SMG box; would like to try a good manual. C55 the ultimate practical man-barge, so very familiar (same floorpan as my C220) when pootling but some srs hyperspace shit when you mash the loud pedal (and what a noise!). 996 the most involving, connected and delightful drive; loved it. Also realised, driving extensively around South England, how quietly excellent and perfectly suited to my needs my own slightly boring little car is. Hmmm life choices. #firstworldprobs

Look forward to that Nursey.

Did you get a whiff of any of the drama involving the guy who was chucked out for pouring orange juice in a vending machine and calling Barry Hogan a c*unt?
-
• #27586
I did see someone pouring beer into a 2p machine, I don't know what the outcome was, but I am sure whatever he won in 2 pence pieces did not add up to what it cost in beer to pour into the machine.
There were a lot of pricks there, but then you sort of expect that.

Can I ask why? Cunts + Cars go hand in hand? :o)
-
• #27588
I think @Crispin_Glover was actually asking about the ATP music festival since I'd mentioned it. There's no 2p machines in the desolate wasteland that is the Evo Triangle.

I mean pretty much any car gathering is full of absolute cunts.
Mind you, pretty much any gathering in fact.

• #27590
Top Gear old and new is riddled.
-
• #27591
Oh sorry, yes there's a weird mix of cunts at car gatherings. I don't know what category of cunt I fall under but I imagine someone else will be able to tell me.

Yes OG Top Gear audience always full of complete Turds, chortling along.

FWIW I am cunt no.1. The cream of cunts.

I have a set of these lying round in 13x6, was checking what they might be worth and now I want a bloody golf mk1...

Just had an update from someone on the ground, the beer pourer moved onto orange juice and was then thrown out, along with everyone in his chalet, and given life bans from ATP events. Their beef was the organisers ripping off bands and fans but still, waaaaaankerssss.
-
• #27595
I don't think there's going to be any more ATP events, I think they've had their day, and Drive Like Jehu have written a pretty damning statement on their website. Not sure I'd say the beer pourer had the last laugh though.

Great stuff. "Fuck me, that was tight". Car sounds great

And your missus was worried that it's loud?
-
• #27599
I remember driving the Dalmatian Coast and 2 GP bikes were racing each other.
Some 50/50 overtakes past HGV's with the odd bunch of flowers at the side of ravines.
Think I nearly laid an egg. Certainly bum chatter.

It's painfully loud...
Recently or in total?
Recently I had it mapped as the fueling was all over the shop. It pops, crackles, bangs, and blows fire like crazy now.
It's a late mk1 1.8 engine with ITBs, cams, 4-2-1 stainless manifold, and custom exhaust.
