Yes - my commute was pretty much all cycle path through the countryside, with just a tiny bit of road at either end. My house is a 30 sec ride from the path, which is great (the other direction goes straight in to town).
It was a great commute actually. I even miss doing the pitch black run thought the woods in the winter!
