I've UV marked all my bikes & components and have them listed at home in a folder. Nerdy, but solid evidence when needed

Yeah I feel like I'll be less lucky as I don't have any particularly good photos. I bought it on here so I've asked that guy if he has any pics in the hope that some of the marks might match up.

I get the feeling the police will just tell me to jog on if I call them up and say "I think I've found my saddle on eBay but I have no proof".

I'll stick a bid in and see what happens.

A good idea. Or that smart water stuff. Probably wouldn't help recovering stuff from ebay though. @PQR stamps his leather saddles too.

Yeah, I did as much leg work as I could and took a pile of stuff over to the police, along with photos I had taken and better ones taken by the guy I bought it off.

nice-looking 931 steel rikulau frame with S&S couplers - a bit dear at £900 BIN probably, maybe but cheaper than getting the couplers put in yourself if it is your size.

I'd rather get the Planet X Stronglight 2000 cranks with ring etc for a tenner less (inc. postage).

I heard some bad reviews about them? they bend or something? is that true?

Not in my experience, haven't heard anything like that either. Personally, I'd recommend them :)

Hmm I remember winning this a while ago, and being refused it because my ebay score was too low (which wasn't the case btw!). seemed like we straightened it out on here, but I could no longer be sent the frame because it wasn't available.
