Considered Formula E? I hear they have music to make up for the lack of noise ;-)

Yes really. I've been doing this racing cars business for the last 13 years or so. I've become increasingly unhappy with various things at work... so time for a change I think. Onwards and upwards...
(And not to Formula E!)

What did I learn from this race?
Lewis needs a Pussycat Doll to get his luck back just kidding!!!
Ferrari have real chances in each race, and their reliability is better than some expected. Red Bull are getting closer again, which means that the Renault-Ilmor-TAG Heuer PU is not bad at all. McLaren are so distant, its sad, since they talk about increases and I stupidly believe them every time.

However, Ferrari did definitely drop the baton in turn 1...

Vettel telling off Kvyat was pretty funny though

Alonso > Schumacher in their prime. No fucking way! I'm sorry.

Indeed, I'm a huge fan of the guy but I think it was pretty obvious he was just trying to divert attention from his & Kimi's mistakes.

Must add rep

Each to their own, but personally I think if you put Alonso in an early 2000's Ferrari, he'd have no problem getting 5 WDCs.
For me they're head and shoulders above anyone else I've watched in an F1 car, personally I think Alonso is the better driver of the two.

Alonso never needed to keep his teammate down via contractual shenanigans, and being let through and getting all the updates first; nor did he need to ruin someone else's race by crashing them out of the proceedings completely. Schumey was masterful, but not a very fair driver. I think in equal cars, and both at their peak, Alonso would edge it. Subjective opinion of course.

I was so gutted for Ricciardo whe he got a puncture. He was definitely on for a podium finish. His tyre probably got shredded by carbon shards from Vettel's antics.

Nothing against Alonso, I think he's a great driver, but Schuey for me was better. Of course it's just my opinion, but he was definitely stronger in the wet than Alonso. As for fair, I can agree, but most of the greats weren't, especially Senna (i.e Japan 1990).

Speaking of Vettel's antics, that pass in the pit entry. Absolutely awesome!
Though it just brings back the bitter memory of Schumi not being allowed to keep the place gained when he did something similar in Monaco...

Have Sky paid C4 to make their coverage this bad? Steve Jones, the different voice for every scene, the crap banter - its like it's designed to show us how much better sky's coverage is (and so worthy of a subscription). If anything it's making me not want to watch F1 anymore, I'm not even sure why I bother - its just not the same sport it was when I first started watching.

He is pretty bad.
I'm not sure how Coulthard puts up with him.

Also with C4. The highlights show was almost incomprehensible. At least the beeb knew how to edit a narrative.

I so wish that I could either pay just for SSF1 or get SS day paases via virgin media. I may look into now.tv

Not sure about dropped the baton, 3rd & 4th as opposed to 2nd & 3rd?
I do think they should've set their Q2 time on softs as opposed to super-softs, which may hinder them in the early part of the race. However a pole wasn't on the cards unless both Mercedes cars had issues.
Should be a decent race, really enjoying the impact the additional set of tyre compounds bring to the strategies.
