  • Not that much. We'll see what they get up to as it's closed for the next two weeks.

  • Do it, But if you want to have fun on your bike come on one of the other 50 weeks of the year.

  • Not a bad shout!

  • Having shit luck ordering things online at the moment and have annoyingly ordered the wrong size back protector thinking it would fit in my dad's Dainese jacket (size 52). Seemed reasonable based on the guidelines.

    It's this one in large:

    http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/sas-tec-rueckenprotektor-sc-1-schwarz.html

Any use to anyone? If you want exact dimensions I can measure, but roughly it's about 55cm X 35cm.

Happy to drop it off in London for £15 or have someone collect for £10. The returns slip is in German so I thought I'd ask here before working out the cost of return.

Otherwise thinking whether it's possible to cut it down???

  • Saga continues... is a WRE clutch cable gonna suite a super motard? Same year same CC, it has to... right!?

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suit-Husqvarna-WRE125-2000-2006-Venhill-featherlight-throttle-cable-H01-4-023-/201502064989?hash=item2eea75815d:g:9IsAAOSwxp9W6tDp

  • I tried searching but can't find the mention and details of the London based mechanic that worked on somebody's older BMW. I need a full service and bits doing. Thanks

  • The most important dimension of the clutch cable is the amount of bare cable, as long as it's within the adjustment capacity of the handlebar you'll get away with it, is there any way you can measure the old cable and housing and see what dimensions you need?

The cable you've linked to is a throttle cable.

  • Try searching on Venhill.co.uk for product code H01-3-016. Looks like the cable for your bike.

  • @snoops may know, think it was his bimmer

  • I like to use Neil Harrison. He’s a one-man-band working out of his garage. He’s very well-regarded on UKGSER forum. He was honest, didn’t up-sell and priced his work fairly. He offers a R1150GS courtesy bike to his regular customers.

  • @snoops , yes that's the post I vaguely remember. Thanks for that.

  • Would I be crazy to get rid of my MT07 for a VFR800 Vtec as a London commuter bike (plus weekend bike)?

  • Use a Por 15 kit from Frosts.
http://www.frost.co.uk/brands/por15/por15-motorcycle-fuel-tank-repair-kit.html at that price I'd look at cheaper prep. People have electrolysis'd a tank before.

  • Another fun day in the mountains. Started with some gentle fire roads to break in the new top end of the CR. Ended up taking a wrong turn down the steepest rockiest hillside ever. I was dead engine, stopped a few times but made it without going over the bars. My poor mate got stuck and I had to walk back up the sodding mountain (walk / crawl, it was that fucking steep) and help him get down. To borrow a local phrase, gnarly. Followed up with more single track then a killer burger beer in a nearby cafe. Good day.

  • Two bloody hours yesterday fitting the Kriega tailpack webbing straps to frame under the seat, and the webbing for the tank adapter - Jeezo, the guy in their video makes it look so simple

  • Nice job. Kriega bags are excellent! I use a Kriega R20 rucsac for transporting stuff on my bicycle. It's lighter and better than most cycling bags.

  • Nice one, cheers for that

  • Nasty people around. I had the seat on my r100rs slashed the other day

  • Sorry to hear that. What makes people do this stuff? No gain in it for them.

  • Found someone had been trying to nick my number plate the other day, assuming it was for some cloning scam. I can't help answer the question of motivation but I have been involved in the intimidation of local destructive scum in the past which cleared up the local problem for a while.

Sorry to hear about your experience.

  • Sorry to hear that gents...I HATE that nonsense.

  • cunts

  • Police have rushed out to look for fingerprints and track down the culprits.

Only kidding: they took my name over the phone and gave me a reference number.

  • Lol at least you've humor. Sorry bud.

I had my cover stolen. I had CCTV though and a week later confronted them when I saw them.
