I have been using a 11 speed SRAM road cassette on this hub if it helps.

Apparently all, but specifically in this case Shimano XT. I need a mountain bike hub due to the size of the drop out on the Mootz. The fix is to use a MTB hub ( DT 350) combined with a road freebody, lots of faff and expense

Cheers - I needed a centrelock and 142mm X 12mm straight through plus 32 holes so very limited on choice.

Mines still in bits :(

Same. Need to buy rims and hub. Think Scherrit fancies the deeper Kinlin rims. I'll see what they're like, maybe order some.
Motivation 0, about now though. Out last night until 5 and broken from early morning gym sesh on Fri. Stupid.

I got my wheels yesterday with Kinlin XR31 rims. Not ridden them yet but they look nice. I like the idea of the offset rear.
Out on bike til 5 or out out?

Did you get the 28h? I'm not seeing the 32h in an offset version. Also, does it have a rim brake track?

^ I get hallucinations like that too

Yes, I don't think they make the 32H with the offset.
I have a confession to make which is that I went for the 24H offset rear!
Got persuaded by the guy who built them that it would be all right and that the spokes won't break when I hit a pothole in Bosnia on a descent at 3am. The rims are well stiff, so I ended up believing it was worth the risk. He seduced me with talk of Dura Ace hubs and I couldn't resist the temptation...

You're a fair bit lighter than me though so he probably has a point. I'm sticking with 32h as it gives me more hub options and matches the front dyno 32h.

Im usually tripping my tits off. Saw a UFO land at 3am in the Cheviots in January. #thisiswhyIultra

Getting stressed by the enormity of this ride now, especially as its longer than the first leg of my outbound flight Heathrow to New York to Portland.

Just think you're only riding across one little country and they all try to speak English. ;)

I need a dose of HTFU- the split start will result in fewer competitors riding in the same direction. I can see myself going a bit mental, "Hearts of Darkness" stylee

Can I use 11spd road cassette on xt hub?
-
• #670
You're not mental now?

No and Yes

Fuck.
I've just ordered an XT hub and I have an Ultegra cassette already. I have a feeling I read they were incompatible before I ordered it too. Shit balls.
What's the issue? Can I just throw spacers at it to fix the problem?
Should I have ordered a CX75 hub instead?
http://www.stradawheels.co.uk/product/shimano-cx-75-hub/It's 135mm, 11spd, CenterLock but it's only 28h, fuck.

You could file down the XT cassette groves to fit 11 speed, Zinn has an article about it: http://velonews.competitor.com/2013/10/bikes-and-tech/how-to-convert-a-10-speed-29er-wheel-to-a-cross-disc-hoop-and-align-rotors_306588
