But shit, it looks bloody well thought out and reasonably priced.

Trailer doesn't look bad.

"KEA have also given the Sladda an automatic gear-change system using technology first invented by pioneering bike innovators Bioshift last year."
Ah so basically a computeredup version of ye olde mechanical auto shifters.
-
• #40230
Yup.
My guess is that the trailer will outsell the bike.
Would also be great if they'd give us a line with cheap alternatives to those usually overpriced bits like chain guards and mud guards. Could spruce up many a rat bike. -

"Where I live in south london there are 4 or 5 busy churches in the immediate area"
Which one do you worship in?
-
• #40232
Sure it involves mythical beings, but so does half the stuff they play and entertain themselves with in real life.>
Good point, I've never understood the criticism of religion that it's tenets are demonstrably false, or make believe. Truth is overrated, and can be very dull. Stories and fantasies are an essential part of growing up.

The church of the flying spaghetti monster.
-
• #40234
Sorry, I thought I was arguing with someone who actually knew what they were talking about. Have lost interest in discussing this with you.
-
• #40235
lighten up dude. Jesus loves you.
-
• #40236
Fantasy = OK
Taking fantasy as reality = not OKIf your kids were told they go to hell or attacked cos they read harry potter instead of the hunger games it'd be closer to religion ;)

I see that sex education is to be voluntary in schools now. Because religion.
Next up - creationism.
-
• #40238
Yes. Exactly right. Already happening in NI and parts of England AND Scotland has a huge fight to stop creationism in schools.

Rats the size of alligators!!!
Well, very small alligators. :)
#justtryingtobaitaroogahintoclicking
I wonder how they've Photoshopped those.
-
• #40240
What I find amazing is that they still mention the earlier story about the alleged giant rat in Hackney Downs as if it was true.
Anyway, I'm off to check what political news is meant to be buried today. :)
-
• #40241
They didn't.
Those are coypu.
The photo is of coypu trapped in wetland in Louisiana
-
• #40242
Yup. Isn't it amazing that they publish something like this seemingly without checking the story? On April 1st, it would be fine, of course. But what's the point in it now, given that they still occasionally pretend to be a serious newspaper?
-
• #40243
I had a rat in one of my flats' communal stairwells that was easily the size of a small cat.
-
• #40244
That was a coypu. See above. London is teeming with them. And alligators.
-
• #40245
Paris is even worse than London. I watched a documentary on TV the other day about a Parisian restaurant where there was a rat working as an actual chef.
-
• #40246
I saw that too. It was so uplifting.

• #40247
.

Ratcist.
-
• #40249
What's all the kerfuffle about the celebrity injunction stuff? Who are they or do I even give a toss? Why has Scotland published their names and it seems the rest of the world knows but English papers are gagged?
-

Elton John and David Furnish. Allegedly.
