He's such an unassuming nice bloke- did PBP unsupported too.
-
• #1581
Sure he's FAST, But is he going to hold more than 1 week without sleep
-
• #1582
Don't think he will need to (?) even on RAAM competitors don't tend to go more than 72 hrs without sleep, all be it very limited.
-
• #1583
You are FAST you have time to sleep a lot and get even faster.

I understand the point... he has done an incredible 42h 27min without sleep and 30.1km/h avg but no experience in multiple day events... sleep and recovery on even longer rides might be an skill hard to get right. At least he did PBP without support, and last 600km totally alone. Not sure how he'll manage the climbs either. Anyway my money is on @CarlosBI :D

I finished building up my bike at the weekend, with my new wheels as the finishing touch.
As the weather was good yesterday I decided to start work at 5am so I could knock off at 2 and go for a ride. Had a great time - one or two niggles - but the highlight was stopping at the lights in Ruislip on the way back and a guy on a shiny red, fast-looking motorbike looked across and said 'I bet that cost more than this!' -

I've booked an Airbnb and there's a bed going for the Thursday and Friday night in Geraardsbergen. Also if you need anything taken back to England that you don't need on the race that'll be available provided there's not too much
