XACD only produces entry level frames so it would not be worth going to this extent.

It will go back to VB to get sorted and I will probably run it as a singlespeed as opposed to fixed to lower BB stress & risk of re-cracking.

What about a sram hub gear / coaster brake? That could be cool.

I need a new wheelset for it and as it happens, was looking at a SRAM Automatic Coaster on eBay.

I will probably end up with a cheap wheelset / standard forks & sell the bike once it is all fixed up.
