I have now spoken with Vernon Barker who did the re-weld and he agreed to re-re-weld FREE OF CHARGE.

I will pull apart and send his way, the XACD Hack will live to see another day ;-)

Get the bb shell cut out and replaced with a nice big shell for running a Bushnell Eccentric. Should be able to cut beyond the metal changed by welding without changing the geometry too much.

Needs an artist to do it without deforming the new shell, welding tubes in the wrong order.

Then you'll have permanent wheel slammage and/or adjustable pedalstrike.

XACD only produces entry level frames so it would not be worth going to this extent.

It will go back to VB to get sorted and I will probably run it as a singlespeed as opposed to fixed to lower BB stress & risk of re-cracking.
