Hayman's power data from PR.
Posted by GCN
Here's a snapshot from Training Peaks of Mathew Hayman's power file from Paris Roubaix on Sunday. Quite incredible. For over 6 hours, he had an average power of 302w, and a normalised power of 347w. The distance and speed are off due to a wheel change.

No wonder he won, he only rode 177k.
Did a Nabali and sat in the car for a 100k long wheel change? ;)

Cancellara's fall at P-R apparently caused by oil from a crashed 'tourist motorbike', according to road.cc
It a bit silly allowing 'tourist motorbikes' on the velodrome just before a race...

I think by tourist motorbikes they meant 'Fabian's race bike'.

"These Belgians don't know they're born. Welcome M. Gilbert to the world of the UK cyclist where this sort of driver and behaviour is an every day occurrence. I hardly ever complete a training ride without abuse or aggression from one or more drivers - and I ride on my own on back roads. On a "National" road the petrol heads are just likely to mow you down. You just have to shake your head and let them get on with their petty little lives. The law won't support you, whatever you do."

Pretty essential reading from Ventoso after his disc brake injury.

Sounds very like discs are too dangerous to have in the peloton. -

Not the kind of illegal spray I thought PhilGil would end up getting in trouble for.

Track cycling.
No brakes.
Look what happens.

this debate is heated up in the disc brakes thread, head over there.

I don't road race any more. Don't really care. It's up to the UCI and riders to decide what happens.
Then again, I'll get to post a wang, I mean Awang.

Backstage pass is up:
The OGE driver: 'Hayman, you freak'!
Always keep riding....

UCI suspend discs in the peloton, pending a review. Seems legit, something extra to damage the riders that isn't strictly necessary.
-
• #7323
Based on one incident which no-one knows for certain was caused by a disc? Yeah, definitely legit.
Meanwhile, riders are being injured, and one desperate incident, killed by race motorbikes, ridden with blatant disregard for the safety of the riders.
They really need to sort out their priorities in Aigle.

I think the pro peloton should have their say about the matter before the UCI calls anything. But alas, they're not exactly known as the most assertive bunch. So I think it's good they're speaking out.
no-one knows for certain
For what reason would Ventoso (and Maes) talk bullshit?

This.
Lol yeah been accused already.
I didn't have the guts to ride the cobbles, bacause that could have been me!
And if it was so bad, why didn't everyone fall off, just fabs.
