You'd use these rims over any of the other options?

I'd take @thecycleclinic 's advice and use the XR31T with offset rear if I were prioritising durability above all else. If I were building some ~30mm deep metal wheels for myself, I'd use the DT RR511 because I think they are prettier :-)

That's basically where I'm at. I want the 511s because if these never wear out I want them sexy :)

I could mismatch and go offset rear and deeper front. The Velocity aren't offset though. Any ALU rim/carbon fairing options like old HED jet or SRAM S80? Probably not with no brake track.

Use a offset rim for the front wheel as well (front disc hubs are offset)
