New lights and front end parts can be obtained, they are quite expensive and take quite a long time to arrive.
Alfa guy I know sold a genuine uk right hand drive gulietta gta to buy an sz and which is worth more now? Also he was the one that had the front end damaged and repaired. His 'just' had broken bonnet and bumper and lights.

I recently had a MK1 converted to gt spec, or mk2 brakes and tweaked suspension. The fitted with a gt engine allegedly. I know it had the gt head and carbs. Interesting handling with at least 10 year old tyres.

Not according to every Alfa expert at an Alfa trackday. I think it's pretty well known, too.

I'm not an expert, I only know of the one car that got damaged and need new parts. The parts came new boxed but not alfa boxes. Lights, bonnet? (front cover) and bumper. Has this situation really changed in the last 8 years?
Mind you is this like you can no longer get MK2 sud headlights?
Edit - Or is the usual read somewhere in a magazine so it must be true, never mind actually having to source parts.

Amazing.
Was just looking for something to help me procrastinate.

On Saturday I saw one of those Alfas (undamaged) on a car transporter parked up in a service station on the autoroute near Chambery, bizarrely the remainder of the load was brand new Discovery Sports. Not sure what that was about.

I believe @NurseHolliday has already made them an offer...

• #27536
Surely they wouldn't sell it...!?

Ha, I wish I had whatever they'd be asking. That must have 100k in man hours spent on it.

Binky is an amazing project, but I don't think I'd actually want to drive it regularly once it's finished. It seems like more of a "just because" thing than an actually desirable car. I suppose it's an advert for their business, is it?

There is a lancia delta integrale floorpan built in to a Lancia y10 mk1.

Loving the Binky project but have to watch it on mute, cannot stand the guy who's doing it

Putting this out there if anyone's interested because I am getting ready for something new. @Buckaroo has first dibs.
Originally I was after four g but looking at comparable ones out there I think £3,500 ono is fair. It's top spec and has FSH. Comfortable, fairly powerful runaround and good motorway mile-muncher. Based Clapham / Brixton borders.Merc C220 CDi SE Evolution Panoramic Coupe with 100k miles on clock, full service history.... black, panoramic roof, cream leather upholstery, "sports" switchable auto ...
Recently serviced, 1 year MOT and new rear tyres and front discs/pads. No DPF issues (all been sorted).

Nice car, we've got the petrol kompressor a couple of years older in silver. Can't understand how they can be so cheap to buy now. I like the back end on that model, think they ruined it in the following model. Had some great days touring through Europe in ours. GLWS.

Aye, cheers, they sure are a lot of car for the money. I'm loath to sell especially now I've had everything sorted on it but after 3 years of ownership I have that textbook itch to scratch.

Bit spendy for me just now. Am considering an AMG C55 wagon actually. Or E46 M3 coupe. Test drove a 996, loved it, but don't think I can live with one as my only car.
