My left cleat seems to have a mm vertical play all of a sudden. Its a massive effort to get clicked in. Then theres this annoying vertical play every pedal stroke.
All of a sudden? Check if anything broke or or anything is loose.. Check also that the bearings are OK.. Speedplay uses pretty tiny bearings that are prone to problems-- easy enough, however, to replace.
New cleat time?
Check if it is not something "wrong" on the body--- they do also wear out.
