Was on Embankment near Lambeth bridge, if I remember correctly. He was heading the right way though.

Hmm... Probably not my colleague who has a penchant for doing that. In his defence, he only has the one helmet and recently moved house and has to get the train in and Brompton the last mile...

Haha, then there are two of them! Love to see the two of them head to head in a sprint from the lights.

Hah, yes!

Epic hail on return home this evening. Short sleeves and bare legs feel smooth as now.

Fecking down rain, hi monday. The ducks weren't in this time, no sun for them to catch.
And should have pumped up rear tyre, was like cycling through sludge.
Many cyclists, much hi-vis despite all this which is nice to see :)

Belfast weather was fantastic yesterday.
Today. Utterly drenched. Shite heaters. Stinky office.
On the upside, my new gel padded shorts served me well.
Comfy bum is comfy

Rode in with a cracked ribbed.....I now noticed every little bump in the road because it makes me want to cry.

A white van man at the top of Kennington Park Road was looking to turn left from the right hand lane this morning. He got rather annoyed when there was no gap in the cyclists/buses - proceeded to lean on his horn, force his way through and jump the red while yelling furiously out his window. Top example of frustration and impotence induced by being trapped in a slow-moving line of metal boxes.
In contrast, the zen is strong with me today. Lovely slow roll to work.
10/10

All the red lights in the world, but it's getting warm enough to glove glove free.

Beautiful morning ride of blue sky and sunshine, perfect for washing away my post stag weekend blurryness.
More nice weather please.

mildly amusing commute story 1 : two 40 something looking gents on oldish mtbs came out a side road so fast in front of me that one couldn't stop and went straight across me, and the other just about skidded to a stop. i can only assume they were racing each other. which is great.
mildly amusing commute story 2: v close pass from a people carrier to get to a red light barely 20m ahead. as i passed hi i asked him, very politely if he could maybe leave a little more room next time. q rageing red faced shouty response. cycled away merrily leaving him to splutter and fume.

Only one bell whiff on the way in to spoil the mood this morning. I stop to let an old woman on a mobility scooter cross the road, I shoulder check and the guy is about 30yards behind me, there's no way he couldn't have seen me slow down or the woman waiting quite anxiously to cross. She takes a few seconds to register that I'm letting her cross, go to move forward and then cock features breezes past me on the left.
What an unutterable cunt.

Some ppl...
Another day of shite weather, rain, hray, cold with headwind. Still better than sitting in a traffic jam.

I had a driver roll into my back wheel while I was track standing at a red light on Bishopsgate. I have no idea how one manages that sort of thing if any attention is being paid.
I'd then like to call myself out for riding like a bit of a weapon the rest of the way to work. The red mist descended.

Got 5th place of all time on Strava for a 30second sprint on a backroad in Victoria.
Disproportionately happy about this.

Technically a road collision, report them.

3 days left of my commuting so taking a different routes each day. Vaxuhall what the fu*k, haven't gone that way since nearly being hit about 3 years ago, think its got worse, Westminster to Bank was lovely tarmac for a bit hardly any other cyclist using the road, most using the Closed Highway part, Blackfriars Bridge is a challenge. Different route on the way.
Very shouting women in a blue Rapha gillet near bank this morning shouting and swearing at lights peds, very amusing.
Also what software do cars/vans have that detect when a cyclist is near? Driver in a van parked in the middle of the road had been, no lights flashing had been still for a good 40 secs, as soon I was just about level driver pulls off almost trapping me between the van and the parked car.
Still 3 more days 10/10

Gentleman today wearing Giro Republic shoes on flat pedals with cages. Is this normal/acceptable? They are great looking shoes regardless...

Happened to me whilst waiting (not track standing) in traffic near Oxford Circus. Black cab driver rolled on to my back wheel. Turned around and asked why he just shrugged his shoulders.

Turned on strava for the first time in months for today's ride in. Accidentally logged it as a run and not a ride so got to work to see i was the king of tooley street. No chance over London bridge because of the clusterfuck that was the morning rush hour. deleted.
Was it between Blackfriars and Farringdon?
