I have found the problem. I am using a 3hole adaptor and the front screw slightly sits proud of the plate. Hence the cleat is wobbling around on that rather than siting flush. Its a tiny bit but enough. Tried tightening screw, using shorter screw, raising plate, no good. The plate is dead flat. I'm using Sidi, I think my only option is to file the screw a touch!
