hope springs eternal.

the lack of US and Euro individuals and companies is pretty conspicuous.
Its unlikely that a US citizen would have any money in panama in the first place - there's a treaty between the countries that means full disclosure to the IRS of any structures like these, bearing in kind that US citizens are taxed on global income and assets, irrespective of where the citizen lives.
If there are US names, it would suggest tax evasion, as opposed to avoidance.

^^ why does that right wing titshower Paul Staines refer to himself in the third person?
/safely ignores entire article.

I think there's been loads on that in Private Eye over the years, it's definitely not news.

This has made me so fucking angry. Even the judge knew it was ridiculous saying that the legislation is over 150 years old. Not only did the poor fucker have to buy some poison off the internet, take it and miscarry a 12 week old feotus with no medical or psychological support, they're now a convicted criminal thanks to an Act from 1861!!!!!
Get fucked Stormont, seriously. Just burn the shit hole to the ground with all "them'uns over ther said the sky is blue so I'm gonna say it's red, so it is". Fucking cunts.

Technically she most likely took medication used by the NHS...but the law calls it poison...
Note Westminster isn't innocent here, they do FUCK ALL too. They could but the usual "justice is devolved" bs. They could at least pay for abortions, but no.
On that note abortion support network gives grants to women throw em a few quid.
I'm mostly fucked off with self righteous religion arseholes, its really a plague down here on both sides.

Aye, she was apparently told what would work by a clinic over here but how would she know what was actually safe or if she had been sold something else entirely.
Fuck 'em
-
• #39761
Well if the medication is ordered via women on web its safe. But then in the rare cases something does go wrong...the a&e staff can rat you out.
So it's fucked up on many levels. Ppl with money travel, those without either end up with a kid they have problems providing for or have to take a risk.
It's bollox and only the Greens and socialists have consistently wanted to change the law. -

I didn't realize, however I did think it was a good example of "do as I say not as I do."

£300k, conveniently just below the inheritance tax limit (another fiddle in itself, of course).
The question is: where has the rest gone?

The likelihood is that he genuinely doesn't know, just like he couldn't remember how many houses he owns in a Times interview in 2009.
I'm not hopeful anything significant will come of this. Nothing sticks to Teflon Dave.

the man fucked a pig and he seems to have survived that. sadly you may be right. hopefully it'll make a fair few 'working class tories' think twice about voting for this slimy, hypocritical charlatan and his despicable party the next time round.
-
• #39770
Yeah maybe, although people have short memories.
I'm getting closer and closer to putting my tin-foil hat on the longer this "leak" goes on without any British names emerging. Hopefully we get something to sink our teeth into soon enough.

all of camerons statements on the matter thusfar appear to have been knowingly parsed in present tense. What we really want to know is a) has he benefitted from offshore funds and will he benefit in the forseeable?
-
• #39772
Cameron has 'promised' to stand down before the next election. So it'll be a new slimy, hypocritical charlatan leading the Tories at the next election.
-
• #39773
indeed - parliamentary democracy will see to that.
-
• #39774
Also Downing St's press release this morning:
"Cameron family will not benefit from offshore trusts in the future."

amazing. is there no end to the man's magnanimity.
if they were living in a council house they'd be called benefits cheats.
quiet tories are quiet as usual.
