• i dont know about the Olympus system but i had the Fuji X-pro1 and loved it. Used XT1's can be found at good prices. Used X-Pro1's at very good prices. Lens wise it depends what you are shooting. The Fuji 35mm f2 is cheap and has good reviews. The older 35 1.4 is a great lens although a bit slow in autofocus. the best Fuji lens i used was the 56 1.2.

Edit: there the option of a used Sony A7 as well. You can use your Canon lens on it!

  • Thanks for the suggestion. I did look at the Sony offerings, especially the a6000, but I had entirely overlooked the full frame ones cos I figured they would be too expensive, especially because of the lenses. I see that you can indeed get a lot of adaptors, but an EF-S one which supports setting the aperture (it is electronically set) is quite pricey - probably more than I paid for the original lens!

Any thoughts about the lens lineup between Fuji and micro 4/3?

  • A used sony A7 with a new 28mm or the new 200 pound 50 1.8 i think is the best choice. Adapted lenses with manual focusing is very easy because there is focus peaking and focus point magnification
