Chances are the aftermarket Ti will be fine. Depends how you ride I Guess. If you're jumping curbs etc. Then maybe not.
I had the opposite problem. Wanted short Ti. But have found aftermarket ones to come up long.
If you want longer axles, and free float. You could look at the Keywin system. Like mine. Pain to Clip into compared to speedplay though.
