If I've read it right it's 4.7mm per click
I wonder if you could use 8speed Shimano shifter which is 5mm per click, I know later Shimano IGHs are quite sensitive to cable issues but maybe the 4 speed isn't?

Ah thanks. I knew something like that would exist somewhere!

I think it's a 4.7mm pull followed by a 5mm pull then a 5.1mm pull. Averages out to 4.9mm.

The 7 speed Nexus is pretty close and they should be a lot more readily available so might just go for a shifter designed for one of them.
