I'm doing some loaded-but-hopefully-not-too-heavy touring, based primarily on a rear rack + pair of Ortliebs set-up, but looking into options for using the front end as well, without having the weight of another rack + front panniers. To free up some space at the back, I'm thinking of a fork-based solution for carrying some of the bulkier but lightweight gear, e.g. a sleeping matt or two. Would something like the Salsa Anything + dry bag be the right kind of idea? I have a carbon fork with mid-fork eyelet. Will that work? Any other options?
