Are you guys all the same person?

This is truly sad.
I had big interest in the frame from Hugo and was ready to pay what he was asking for. Unfortunately I was like 2nd or 3rd in line.
Asking price was how much? Somewhere around £800.00 for whole build.
And now it's on compeltly stripped for £1000.00?
This really disgust me.

I'm not flipping it for profit - I need the money and have to sell. So what do I do -I sell for less than it's worth? I paid for it -it's mine - what possible concern is it of yours?
Ok so honest answer then :- If I offer it to you now for £10 and you need to sell it in a few months time you'll sell it for what , lets say £12 ? Really . NO of course not. It would be yours and you could morally sell it for whatever you wanted assuming you paid what was asked and didn't take advantage of the seller. You don't know how hard I had to work or what I had to sell to get the money to buy it in the first place. I could have been buying a damaged frame with cracked hubs etc - I took the risk.
Why do you feel the need to police what individuals buy and sell anyway? -
• #31
What a strange and foooolish thing to say! Why are you more than one person there is a technical term for that, schizophrenic or split personality disorder! that would explain hijacking people's sales elsewhere.
-
• #32
I'm not policing anything. I merely made a comment, then went on to explain what I thought about it. It's my opinion.

What?

• #34
What?

• #35
Having nearly built mine up in a similar way, this was originally a fucking steal of a price
-
• #37
one could argue that we could all buy stuff off here and sell for profits on ebay and that would ballz up the forum good will vibe.
if you no longer want the frame and need the cash you could recoup your cost pretty easily by selling it back for 800 on here. it is your frame though. i just don't think poetic should be getting a load for a pretty non-offensive small comment
-
• #38
Because flipping something you got for a bargain on here for more for just the frame is really really bad form on here. And YOU know that, which is why you are getting so uppity about it.
-
• #39
It's funny how all three of you are always around to back each other up
-
• #40
ha, just re-read, didn't realise the initial purchase was for full build! thought it was simply frame bought, then sold on for slightly higher price...eek!
-
• #41
Wow, what a risk... Fucking hell are you for real? This forum is built around people who trade stuff honestly, if it had been knackered (which it obviously wasn't) you could have got a refund as we are all (mostly) decent people.
Taking advantage of that decency to then clearly profit from someone else's generosity is fucking amazing. The brass neck of it all...

So if you had bought it and needed to sell it you would make no profit whatsoever . Or you would have offered to pay more than was asked?
I don't want to sell it . I NEED to sell it so what would you suggest - I sell for less than I can get and then have to sell more of my stuff I want to keep to make the deficit?
How does me making money on it harm the seller?
Lots of people buy on here and sell for profit at fairs, etc . That means that sellers get their money quickly and can use it for what they want -this makes them happy. Do they really care if it is sold for more? It wouldn't bother me. But I'm not a bitter person.
So if the frame had been cracked and the hubs cracked and I'd lost out would you have made up my loss?
I don't understand what you think I should do? I paid what was asked, with my money and I can do whatever I want with what I buy.
Just answer this one simple question :-
Someone puts a Cinelli Laser on here for £100 and you get it. A short while later you have over spent and need to pull in some money so we all get to see a Cinelli Laser on Ebay for £115 do we???? Really? -
• #44
So, are all three of you the same person or not?

No ban.
He's not flipping it on here, and as far as I can tell someone else entirely posted the eBay link (which is OK... people can do that).
I guess what it really comes down to is whether he can have that on his conscience, but that's money... if you need it enough (and I know nothing about him, his circumstances or anything) then I can see that being fine for him.
The rest of us may find it distasteful, but it is what it is.
It's his bike, and if wants to split and flip it then so be it. If he'd posted it here I would've stepped in, but as it is this is not bannable.

Yes I agree and understand.
I know you can't do it.
I just can't believe what is coming out of forums member mouth that has been on forum since 2012...

My final comment :-I love this frame and I dont WANT to sell it I NEED to sell it. I have rent and a family to support. I honestly don't know how you think it should work - do you only ever sell for what you paid? How would that benefit the original seller?
Many people buy on here and sell elsewhere for a profit. Many ask high prices for the stuff on sale on here - who knows what they paid for it. I have sold lots of stuff on here for a loss or given it away as have many others.
I put it on Ebay for £1000 to take £800 min best offer minus Ebay and Paypal charges on item and post leaves about £675 . Which is about what they are worth.
I had no Idea it was of that sort of value until I saw the one Haveo bought and based my price on that.
Selling my frame is bad enough but selling for less than it's worth and then having to sell something else as well would be worse.
When I have money round me I buy stuff on the forum for what the seller asks and when I'm short I sell some stuff -sometimes I lose money sometimes I make -some bike stuff goes up in value very quickly some doesn't. -

I became a member of this forum solely to share my Restorations which I love carrying out, I no longer do so due to the petty behaviour I've brought two items on here & never sold, as previously stated it was for the fun which became less & less over time.
I now do them for my own pleasure or share them on pedal room. -
• #50
Who gives two shits? Fuck off to Pedalroom then >>>>
That may be the case, but flipping stuff for profit, which this more than looks like, is hardly in the spirit of the forum is it?
