7.8kg at the moment. The only really nice bits are a Zipp stem and the force 22 cranks. everything else is budget stuff. Sram apex, Deda RHM bars etc.

Ha, what's the C12 disco brief then? Silver thompson post, silver Si cranks and gold rings. Silver stem?
-
• #4556
Broadly, yes.
Initial build is going to be a SRAM CX1 ring and XX1 cassette, XTR rear mech, R-785 shifters, ENVE rims with Strada Bianca tyres, silver Thomson stem and post, silver Hollowgram crank arms, carbon SMP, Rotundo bars, bosh.

My cats might have something to say about that, but they're not the ones who purchase the cat food, so I'd ignore them.

Replaced the bb on my synapse at the weekend. Used the proper park tools for removal and installation. Noticed the wavy washer wasn't really compressed so used a couple of the 0.5mm shims that came with the sram bb. Torqued it all back up to 40nm and looked good. Feels a touch stiff when spinning the cranks in the stand.
Reckon that'll loosen up with a ride or have the shims caused it or have I fucked up the bearing installation?

Clearance all good then?
-
• #4565
How stiff? Does it stop spinning the momdbf you let go?
-
• #4566
Not the moment no, but much quicker than it used to

Clearance all good then?
Hope so! Otherwise I will have to size down the tyres, but hopefully I can use them. I've been zooming around on 32's recently and apart from the lack of cornering grip they are fun.

Synapse Hi Mod carbon or CAAD? There doesn't seem to be much difference in price but I'm wary of the 105/Ultegra difference in the frame spec so...
-

Depends if you want synapse geo
Taller headtube, less racy, more clearance
Still stiff and feels quick tho

This is so smart. What are the wheels?
-
• #4572
I have some Kinlins for sells that look just like them...
-
• #4573
Cheers! The wheels in that pic are 3T Accellero that were purchased on some mad deal can't remember the exact price but they were under £200.
They are 38mm deep and 23mm wide, proper wide U shaped rim. great wheels, just a little portly. Think they are 1900 grams without cassette or skewers.

I'll try and find them in amongst the Tolstoy-esque epics that are his current project threads then as there's a reasonably priced caad 9 i'm looking at in stealthy black and I've just rebuilt my hope hubs onto some 23mm DT swiss 460's ;)
