I have a USA Made CAAD 8 from 2005. It's excellent, in perfect condition and of the racy variety I believe. Picked up the frame from here for £150 if I remember correctly ( a 54cm too)
Has room for 28c tyres too. I built the bike with second parts and it was under the £500 mark.
Here's a gratuitous pic:
I think mine was good value as there's nothing wrong with it and I prefer it to my 2010 BMC. hunt one down!
Probably in a for sale advert for a USA produced frame I'd imagine.
They are all very good. The pre-10s don't really account for modern rim and tyre choices, and some are BB30 and some are not. Some have full carbon forks (premium) and some not (ultra).
Can't really go wrong with a CAAD10. Be aware you cant transfer warranties and what warranty they do have isn't exactly bomb proof.
Only other gotcha I can think of is that there were many versions of the CAAD8, the earlier ones being very racy and the later ones being noob bikes and having very little in common with their earlier brethren.
