Popped in my LBS in France and was offered this Look KG386 frameset for a decent price so took it home. It is an ex-pro training bike apparently - but then again I hear this a lot with bikes I buy in the Champagne region.
I have looked through the catalogues online but haven't managed to see a similar one - looks likes it is from circa 2001, however all other KG386 I have seen have an aero downtube.
Can anyone help identifying the year?
@mattyc how much do you want to invest in an Ergopost?

Pedro Moreno is a Cuban actor
There was a Pedro Moreno in cycling, but too early to have had a Look while an active pro. A second one was in an elite espoirs team in 2001, which is probably a bit late.

Spot on - it is an older KG121 so 1996 / 1997 which has been repainted and had more modern Look forks fitted.
Mystery solved - thanks for the help!

Hey man! Not sure if I've got much to invest - I would like it though! What's the going rate these days?

Just joined the forum and the Look club recently. (Hi everybody!)
Any ideas on what kind of stem and saddle might be a cheap but good option? Tires and bar tape will be changed as soon as I find some time. Will mostly use this to commute around London and might join a ride or two in the future.
Oh and is anybody interested in these pedals? Would let them go for 10£, if anyone is willing to pick them up! Located in E8 …

@hellothisisdog Nice bike! You can pick up 1'' LOOK stems on eBay pretty cheap. If you keep your eyes out you can get a Cinelli Alter for around £25 too (what I paid for mine).
As for saddles, I'm a big fan of Selle Italia Flite. Some reckon that they should only be fitted to seat posts with a degree of layback but I have mine on a BBB Skyscraper and it looks fine.
Your bike defo has HHSRB potential!

Nope, despite some advise not to use a normal stem (guys at Bespoke told me my steerer will eventually explode), Look doesn't clearly state it anywhere, and I've seen pros and few people doing it so why not as the max -9degrees of the C-stem are not enough for me.
I inspect the steerer often to see if there is any sign of stress, but after 6 months it's all good.
As for the headset, it's mostly covered by the adjusting cup, I just make sure to keep it clean and service the HS now and then.
I covered the steerer hole with an expander bung tight enough not to rattle (without top cap), put some grease on the thread and put a screw in. -
