  • I always planned to put Rotor 3d on mine, I just never got round to it.

  • Jelly, always fancied a paid.

  • Fixed tt's look great....

Finally had a look at the broken bottom bracket (snapped cotter pin) on the folding bike. Condor track lockring spanner fitted, and turns out it's a BSA thread. So, lucked out, thought it would be an oddball thread. Once the Mirage cranks arrive from Ebay (taking forever, ordered last week) I will look for a cheap square taper bb and get the folder back in service.

It's gonna have bullhorns after all I think, and all the old Shimano-3S is coming off, run it single speed for a while before deciding if it goes fixed.

    Definitely needs mags.

  • I hate changing chainrings, I wish there was some way of having 2 or 3 of them and just moving the chain between them.

  • Got any photos of your build? Looking for inspo

  • What is the opinion on TRP Spyres?

    They're O.K.

    stock pads can >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    Oh and fit Yokozuna Reaction.

  • So excited about getting this on the road...

  • nice kitchen, more deets/pics?

Bike is great too ;) May I ask what did it cost?

  • I'm confused, more pics of the kitchen or bike? Either way, these shots give you a bit of both. The bikes a custom to burls track, with internal routing for a rear brake. It's spec'd to be a fast fixed road bike for 100km rides in all seasons, a fixed bike that can climb and descend mountains confidently, but I may opt for a freewheel when I take it to the Alps. The build will be lightweight but not weight weenie.

  • very very nice .. both kitchen and bike!

What build have you planned? Wheels cranks? I am building something similar but nowhere as bling.

  • What tiles are they?

(Nice Burls BTW, but those tiles......)

  • long white ones

  • Can't remember the exact reference but they're from here:

    https://www.tonsoftiles.co.uk/

    Great value website fore tiles.

  • nice kitten

I think when they get that big it's more polite to call them cats.

  • Yes, I've been following your thread. Looks nice.

I didn't mean to get so bling, but at my frame size finding a light-ish, horizontal drop out frame with bottle cage bosses is pretty difficult. The burls ti frames are such good value.

The components will be: deda superlegara bars and stem, Columbus Grammy forks with tapered steerer, Easton ec70 inline seat post and fizik Arione saddle.

Wheels will be ambrosio Excellight rims on phil wood hubs. I really wanted goldtech track pro hubs, but they're out of stock and no one seems to be able to confirm if they will ever be back in stock again.

  • ...and SRAM omnium cranks, because I wanted external bearings.

  • ambrosio Excellight

    Why?

  • I'm a creature of habit I suppose. They're one of the more consumable components, so it's not a forever decision.

    What would you go for?

  • What would you go for?

DT R 460 .. same rims I've used in my build. Also I dunno how heavy you are but Mack has silver 24/28 superlight hubs in stock £175 for pair.

Also why not Sugino 75 DD? ;)

What did frameset ended up in weight? That fork is superlight!

  • I didn't even know Sugino 75 could come with an external bearing bb. i might have gone for those if I'd known. I've got the omnium's on my track bike and I like them.

  • Weight for frame, forks, h/set, bars and stem is 2440g. I have no idea what the total build will be.

  • Popped in my LBS in France and was offered this Look KG386 frameset for a decent price so took it home. It used to be an ex-pro training bike. But then again I hear this a lot...

I have looked through the catalogues but haven't managed to see a similar one - looks likes it is from circa 2001.
