does anyone own an edge touring ,if so how are they,this thread has got me reconsidering?

I have one, and I know @fasih has one too. I don't trust it for any actual routing (the includes turn-by-turn navigation too), but it seems to work well enough if you feed it a tcx file which has coursepoints (such as from RidewithGPS).

Mine and the girlfriend one was pretty reliable, probably because it's quite dumbed down.
