Get some Far Sport rims, DCR hubs and build your own. Unless you are avoiding crabon?
-
• #53
Slightly worried about crabon fiber clinchers going pop as I descend in the Alps.

gold chain required, obvs

light bicycle or GTFO
Ideally on Hope (because silver). 45mm front 55mm rear. Silver CX rays (will be nice once you have silver finishing kit sorted).

Umm generally I would, in this instance I'd put a pic of a tub and then hoards of people struggling with fitting clinchers on 'wide' rims.

Kinlin XR22T (the thinking man's DT Swiss 240s) laced to Novatec A271SB (front) and F372SB (rear) with CX Rays

I've a cut-down black thomson seatpost in 27.2 in decent nick if you wants swaps for silver?
-
• #61
No worries. That thing deserves to be used and abused, though. It sat in my house doing nothing and longing to be ridden for waaaay too long.
-
• #62
How cut-down?
-
• #63
Don't worry! Build thread coming soon...
-
• #65
28cm from middle of clamp to bottom? Feint insertion marks from about 12cm too. Lemme know if it rustles your jimmies.
-
• #66
ACE rims.
Bestest ever.
-
• #67
My jimmies are half-rustled. Got a pic? My silver one is full-length and in roight noice condition.

Also, if everybody could come to a unanimous conclusion about the best wheelset for me, so I can make a worry-free purchase, that'd be great.
-
• #69
Lightbicycle rims 55mm rear 45mm front + novatec hubs 28/24 + CX ray black spokes + schwalbe one 25mm tyres + swissstop black prince pads.
Or if you want $WAG then Dura ace 9000 hubs. 28/24

For your perusal good Sir...

Back in your shed.

I dont do this clincher nonsense. So I cant comment on rims.
But at that Depth 24/20 would be enough I'd have thought.
You can also save a fair bit usig CN spokes instaed of Sapim. I have 424s on both my race, and training Wheels. Been really happy With them.
Worth checking Bikehubstore for hubs. But Novatec are going be a good option.

I think I'll need all that length (phrasing) so it probably wouldn't work as the scratches will be visible. The frame looks like it has a horizontal top tube in that first pic I posted, but it's actually quite sloping, so there'll be a lot of seat post on show. Thanks though. Black Thomson would be ideal.

nae bother. let me know if you're getting rid of your silver one anyway, might take it off your hands at the right price. ta!
$550?
My budget was a little higher than that. I was speaking to August Wheelworks about some options.
