Time Atac on all my bikes. You rarely see flats in cross, they simply don't work with toe studs. You'll be better of asking in the mtb threads as flats are often used by full-sus wankers.

I think we hard tail wankers mostly

Filth, etc

Nice one.

What do we reckon to the new Charge Plug?
-
• #3783
I got the singlespeed one, which is different (but similar) to the disc/geared one, quite nice and stable to ride, great if you want massive clearance and mudguard mount.

• #3784
Is that the one they forgot to drill the mudguard eyes on ?
-
• #3785
That's the steel Plug 0.

I would and have done, Speedplay Frogs were on my old singlespeed and are now on my Focus... everyone's a winner!

How does one go about getting your tyre pressures for cross sorted out?
Big tyres are a novelty to me, and as a new convert to #lowpressure I don't wanna faff about
-
• #3788
Start at 40psi and keep going lower until you puncture

What he said -
• #3790
30 in the front, 40 in the back and I'll just avoid pumping them up until I can feel rim on tarmac

Anyone fitted a front rack to their TCX? Good idea or instant death? I want to do some touring on it and was hoping to get away with a large saddlebag and a front rack to hold sleeping bag / mat. Not going to be over 5kgs weight, but would be mounting to holes designed for guards.

Could just get a dry bag/sac and strap it to the bars?
-
• #3793
Already going to have some kind of bar bag. Haven't actually checked whether the two would interfere yet. Probably should...

Here's a crazy thought... does anyone run a fatter tyre at the front than the rear? I always ran a bigger tyre at the front when I rode MTB, why not CX as well? Plus, anyone had any experience with Clement tyres as I think their USH comes in 35 and 40.

Any other recommendations? 58kg rider.Could stretch to 200GBP if 50 extra are really worth it.

Can I run an Sram Force 1 chain set with an Ultegra 11 speed group? Is it just a case of swapping the chainsets and removing the front mech, or am I missing something?
-

Should be fine. Keep the chain as short as possible and retention shouldn't be an issue.
Yes. I have variations of crank bros. pedals across most of my bikes.
This thread gets no eyeballs - as before if you want an answer better to post in a more general forum that gets some eyeballs :)
