Thomas had a 54 tooth front chainring fitted this morning, precisely because of the descent into the finish.

Also been in contact with them this week and there response was 'update silver light and flash' .... Useless

Contador in his prime would have been gone and won by a margin against that field.
The fact that he's not quite as strong as he once was, but is still willing to attack like that might go a long way to deciding how he's remembered.
Great day of racing.
Inrng tweeted the provisional start list for Catalunya...

No more Rolland? :(

That was painful.
GVA's looking good still.

Poor Sagan, not even shaved legs can prevent a second place.
-
• #5910
GvA going like a train. Ominous for MSR.
-
• #5911
all nice and well that GvA is suddenly winning, much deserved and blah blah, but too bad he appears to have handed over this bridesmaid syndrome to the world champ, damn. [/fanboy mode]

If Sagan wins a monument in the next three weeks, all will be forgotten.

Am I the only person who finds GVA really dull..
-
• #5914
I have the same reaction to GVA winning as I do to Valverde, except with Valverde I have a conflicted enjoyment of watching him race.
-
• #5915
Really? He's a far more attacking rider than Valverde has ever been.
GVA makes races, he doesn't sit and watch it unfold.
-
• #5916
Not saying it's entirely rational, he just leaves me cold. He did pull a proper Valverde sitting on job today though
-
• #5917
Because his team-mate was in contention for the overall victory. It's a legitimate tactic.
No one was criticising Cummings for doing exactly the same thing on Saturday.

• #5918
I'm with you he leaves me cold. Seems devoid of personality
-
• #5919
I for one hope that his form is still building toward just that

Reckon Brammeier might get a few choice words at MSR...

Brammeier is my new favourite pro-cycling twitter troll.

The peloton itself isn't able to agree on weather that was the right decision, so attacking Nibali is bit dumb. And of course he/Astana should think long and hard about targeting a race which could have the stages he's most suited for cancelled. All they've said is they'll target other races in which that's less likely to happen. That just makes sense. Brammeier's being a bit of an idiot.

I think Twitter is great and seeing adults bickering on it like children is a positive step for society.

• #5924
<3 that shade from Brammeier. But I do worry that he's not going to get the best reception from the fans at MSR...

Nibali has instructed his lawyer to investigate a possible libel case against Brammeier apparently. The twat.
The benefit of having friends in the peloton.
