Ha. As with any older turntable, be prepared to wait for a good one, that's all. As I mentioned, the R200 arm on those Regas can (sometimes) be an issue. I wouldn't get a Linn Axis as the power supply has a known design flaw, which often results in flaky stop/start and random 33/45 (mine) or an expensive doorstop.
As I said already, a new Rega RP1 would be an excellent choice, especially for an analogue chimp.

Was setting up some Chromecast Audios and noticed a couple of things in the config app I've not seen before.
1) There's an option to turn on full dynamic range if you're sending audio to a proper hi-fi setup.
2) You can assign them to a group and create a multiroom setup, with an adjustable timing delay to sync the sound.
Which is nice.

Yes indeed! I think (1) has always been there but (2) is new. Gonna have to try it out...
-
• #2855
(2) is the reason I will have Chromecasts in pretty much every room of the house...
-
• #2856
What is the delay sync'd to? Surely one room will all sound fine but in the rest it will sound worse...

Google say it can be used in the event of what they call inherent lag in certain speakers. Seems a bit of an edge case, but interesting that they thought it worth addressing.

25years later and mine still works perfectly

I love Dieter, but for so many reasons, nope.
For starters, the listing says there's holes under those white felt pads on the top (?) and brittle old plastic/lightweight components and hefty metal shipped from Germany probably isn't ending well.

I've a black Planar 2 set up with an old Arcam amp and brand new Monitor Audio Bronze 2s if you want to have a play around with one. It's not for sale, but you could bring over some vinyl and test it out if you want. We're in Beckenham, so depending on where you are, it could be a bit of a drag to get here, but you're welcome to pop round if it suits you. PM if interested.

Hey buddy, thanks so much for the very kind offer, would of been well into that (I don't really know what a decent record player should sound like - does mine sound good? to me yes, but could it sound better? who knows...) but I'm the other side of the city. Any pics of your set up though? Sounds nice...

Ha, christ on a bike... I actually thought I'd got better at it too...

What happens at the end of the record?
Some records even have a locked groove cut into the end of the record. Infinite musics.

Hey everyone I have a B&O Beogram 1203 turntable I don't want. I like the robustness of my 1210 rather than the beautiful fragility of the Danish classic. I haven't actually tested it as I'm in the midst of moving house. I brought it off eBay a few weeks ago from a seller said it was all working. It turns on and the arm moves automatically up and down but that's as far as I've gotten. I'd like £150 if anyone is interested?

Ha. I'm about to get mine repaired. If you're is fully working I could be interested though. My 1200 has been in repair for 2 months now... Le sigh.
Yeah I'd prob just sell that on...
Also chased Dazaa again as he might have a Linn axis turntable still. Maybe. God knows.
