I have been gifted an old pocket watch that aparently was owned by someone in my family.
I think I have made it run, but still need to fix the key so I can wind it.
It's french, but nothing special. No manufacturer markings and a plastic crystal. The case is 18kt gold though.
The question is: What the heck do I do with it? I'm not really inclined to wear it in any way.

My old grandmother actually told me that the owner (she didn't remember who) wore the watch to a war (one of the WWs obvs) and that it prevented him from getting shot. Allegedly...
There's a small crease in the case back, but I can't see how it could stem from a bullet...
