Bit slow rolling but Pasela's reliable as ever.

Get one of these and wheelie everywhere

Always really liked the way vittoria open tubulars ride, but found them sketchy in the wet so run fortezza tricomps for the wetter and inclemental months since they're amazing grippy and last for ever and a day. Hopefully this could combine the best of both worlds, though likely won't be as durable. Still excited.
The mystical perfect tyre for me - Italian style supple 'open tubular' carcass coupled with German rubber and puncture protection.
Judging by what Vredstein are rating the puncture protection on those (3/6) I wouldn't expect they'd last any longer than Vittoria Corsa's which fall apart after touching glass.
Still, seems as though they think they're fine in the wet which is a step up from Vittoria. -

I would avoid based on my experiences.
I'm currently running gravel kings in 32c (file tread not the chunky ones) after good experiences with the 28s. they ride great, seem better made than the Clements, roll really well and super smooth.

Yep although saying that I seem to be quite light on tyres, just hate no grip in the wet. For winter they're now releasing they're now releasing a senso allweather tubeless in 28 which looks just the thing

• #2782
Where did you get the file tread ones in 32? Been looking at them for my thorn audax
-
• #2783
I didn't know they existed till they showed up, thought I was getting the chunky ones. They list those separately.
-
• #2784
Ta. Also do they come up true to size?
-
• #2785
They look true to size on my open pros, I expect on a wider rim they might be a little over.
I don't have a caliper to measure.

I'm riding the Paris-Roubaix course in a couple of months. Will be riding a old steel bike with clearance for up to 28mm clinchers. Any recommendations?

Pave with latex tubes
Literally, no other choice.

Got a puncture on vittoria open pave at a crucial moment.
Never riding them again. Fuck OP.
Going to just use Maraton Plus, they do 23c race spec right? TANK.

Any recommendations for some gumwalls? Currently riding on Grand Prix 4000s II's and ideally something similar?
-
• #2792
Er... gumwall GP4000s II?
-
• #2793
The new corsa (replaced open pave) is gumwall.
-
• #2794
Perfect.
Now I just need a motor to overcome the rolling resistance of that beast.

They made a 32c version?
They're nice tyres but not really one I can recommend, there's one tyres that I'm a little impressed with is the Conti Grand Sport tyres, I've ridden the 25mm version, and very recently, the 28mm (measured out 30mm on wide rims), decent grip, suppliness and good feedback when you drop the pressure, it also weight 280g for the 28mm which is decent.

Looks great but need clincher.
Thanks anyway though. -
