Ended up going for Mavic Open Pro's in the CD finish, have one on it currently and it suits the bike. Mavic sorted me a decent price on a pair, will build them in the next couple of weeks when I get time.

Open Pros do look better than TB14s IMO

I like TB14's but i've always had a soft spot for Open Pro's, I build with them all the time at work too so I guess its a no brainer.

I like Open Pros, also. The ones on my fixed have been going almost 5 years strong.

Ones on my parallax came off my langster, good 4 years old. Bombproof rims!

Uses a 1 inch adapter, so is anti... (according to general consensus/TM on here).

+1 rep

I think the objection was to a quill adapter, as opposed to a 1 inch ahead adapter

Love the Cannondale Track green with black parts. Reminds me of McQueen's Mustang in the movie Bullitt....such a rad color combo.

Every time it changes hands on here it breaks my heart that I'll never be tall enough for it
This. Absolutely this.

The cannondale above fitted with a road fork is way more anti than any 1" inch adaptor (quill or A-head) People are too critical about stupid details... as long you like the look of your fucking bike, you should not give a fuck about anyone else liking it.
This thread acts like a filter and the result is a lot of people, who put together generic builds and have no confidence in themselves to be creative in the building process. Builds are never set in stone, they can change very easily and quickly. 2006/7 was great because there were less people to impose their rules about what looks cool and what does not.
Build your bike, ride it and try not to post it on here (the forum) for approval.
If it does make it on to here then you know you are doing something right.
