They're chainring bolts.

Any idea what frame this is? Looks interesting, can't really make out anything apart from a Heavy Pedal sticker on the chainstay. Not a Heavy Pedal frame as far as I know.

Hi, this is a Campagnolo Olympus Headset, can tell by the seal on the bottom race, was a mtb headset, but great as a road headset as it is sealed.

Looking to buy this from Gumtree but the seller doesn't have any pics built up so was wondering if anyone knew what kind of frame it is so I can gauge geo from other images online?

Hi! My friend got into drunk-driving crash accident and his rear derailleur hanger fall off. The frame is Giant OCR compact road. Is this is a right hanger we are looking for?
It fits for
OCR Alliance - 2007-2008
OCR Aluminium - 2002-2008
OCR Elite - 2002-2004
but I don't really understand what kind of giant he has.

Aluminium frame? have the drop outs misaligned as a result of the crash?
Could have seriously/ terminally weakened the frame man -
• #4985
Yes, this is aluminium frame and the dropouts are fine. That wasn't a big fall, he just slightly bent rear derailleur and then hanger cracked into pieces.

Ah sweet! I think that hangar should work then

Thanks!

It's a derailleur hanger.

Just got this from @woah.
@Midlife thinks it is an Aende but just wanted a second opinion. Seems to be quite an odd number so hopefully not too hard.I can take some detailed pictures of it tomorrow but for now I'll just use the seller's.
It has a Cinelli BB shell but other than that no other lugs, aside from the fork crown. It has Campagnolo dropouts and track ends and a derailler hanger so I was guessing a road TT frame. It has one braze on for a downtube shifter. It is drilled both front and back (for brakes) but has no brake guides or internal routing. The oddest bit to me; it has a grub screw to fasten the seatpost.
Tubing-wise, I am none the wiser though the seat stays look quite thick in the middle. I am going to guess that the threads are English (@woah?).(click on the pic for more)

Does no one have any ideas?
-
• #4991
Oh and it also has Campagnolo track ends...

Track ends with a hanger and a single shifter mount, were definitely a TT thing in the Seventies.
This ties-in with the lack of cable guides: they were using band-on guides then.
Not really my era, but I'd wouldn't think there were too many people building lugless TT frames back then: the grub screw seatpost fixing is quite unusual and should make pinning down the builder easier.
Have you checked Classic Lightweights and Retrobike?

Hi, can you help out with this Bianchi model? I am working on restoring it and got stuck with the seat post diameter. The bike came with a 26.8 seat post which seems to be too lose in the frame, problem is that neither a 27.0 or 27.2 (which I suspect was originally designed for, i.e the frame) doesn
t fit (I cam only insert either a couple of mm and even that requires too much force. btw seatpost cavity is cleaned up). I found a guy on pedal room with the same exact bike and wrote him an email, unfortunately he hasn
t replied...http://www.pedalroom.com/bike/bianchi-celeste-rekord-dedacciai-zero--26498Thank you!

Hi, can anyone help me with this?
~1985-1990 road frame, 531, has "renovated by Argos" decals, frame number starts with WM7001....
Who is "WM"? -
• #4995
^Not a name, a place. Worksop. Raleigh from 1987 (3rd serial digit) The offset top tube guide location and sloping fork crown are typical of the Professional model. But Pros had shot in seat stays which may have changed by 1987. They made some 653 not fastback.
No mudguard eyes, obviously a top offering outside of the Special Build division. -
• #4996
Very interesting, thanks! What does "top offering.." mean?
So, is this a 653 frame or 531?
-
• #4997
Overall i'd say 531 but
There are 653 esque details, crown, pump peg, lugs here's a Raleigh 87 653
http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=249768Top offering meaning that's the better Worksop models produced.
Worksop 531 Professional from 1985

Can anyone tell me if they recognise the shape of these forks / could tell me what flavor of tubing they could be made of? Steel and Columbus dropouts
Want to know if they're good enough to get properly repainted or whether I should just rattle can them

Heh James , nice machine ! I have just acquired a P-700 & will be building up as a road bike - seemingly it was team issue to McCartney pro racing back in the day, & yes,the forks (which I have kept just to retain the pairing for originality /collectability?? ) are horrendously unstable & dangerous - I have replaced with a pr. of 1" trek aero bladed equinox CF forks, which sit nicely in the mix, just on with ordering the decals in yellow like yours, getting it back to original condition, but with Record 'everything' it might be a while- £££ ! cheers Phil
Hello all
Was hoping someone with more experience than me could help me with any info regarding this lo pro I've bought.. sold as a Pat Rohan - Ron Thomas built with Reynolds 753 tubing. looks like it's been repainted fairly recently.
The main thing I'd like to confirm is whether it's really 753 tubing. What's the best way to tell?
The frame is 1.94kg
The forks are 0.66kg according to my cheapo luggage scale
27.0 Seatpost, but I haven't confirmed that myself
