Many factors, unfortunately there was hatred. I worked at a mower repair shop many years ago. The owner had a late 70s toyota truck. He said when he first bought it in early 80s some of his clients went elsewhere when they saw that it wasnt british. Pretty bizare but true, an attitude that lingered along time, until the 90s I think. The Australians and Nz folk got on well with all nations car wise, hence a good stock of kp60s and Datto 510s etc. love honda s600 if only id bought one 20 years ago and kept it, deep pockets needed now.
