I do Croxted from Brockwell Park to Gipsy Hill every day. You need to be in primary the whole way. 99.9% of drivers are usually quite patient but there will be one or too knobheads. It seems to be quite a busy commuter route with cars parked both sides.
Years ago when I worked as a labourer on one of Fiddy's jobs renovating a house on Gipsy Hill, I used to get the number 3 bus back towards Brixton. Every day without fail the bus would take a wing mirror or two off. The driver just made a note at their next stop.

I can't believe that. Are you sure you're not exaggerating?
I've only really ridden Croxted Road when going up to Gipsy Hill for the London Classic (that is, on Sundays), and on a couple of other occasions over the years, and I've never had even minor problems. I'm sure it's very different in the weekday peak hour, but if mirrors were lost every day, something would have been done about that by now.
Exactly that road, one vans overtook me by the speed sensor thing, it said 29mph.
