You guys have more than one pair of running shoes?
I had a really nice run yesterday. Been struggling with lead legs and cold/flu/whatever for a couple of weeks so have missed some training runs to rest up but the legs came back yesterday! Did 5 miles with a few intervals around a local park, nothing too structured just faster for a bit slower for a bit. Nice to have some spring in my step! Will run slowly to park run with the gf tomorrow, run park run (fast, hopefully), and run home slowly with the gf again for a nice 8 miler, then I'm looking at 18 on Sunday. Longest ever run ever!
