Ah I played with them in edinburgh YEARS ago. Great band, most screamo is dreadful IMO but these guys were always incredibly moving live. Will be there.

Is anyone here going for the Salad days screening in Dalston on Saturday? Here's the link: http://www.riocinema.ision.co.uk/specials.htm
Chronicling a decade of punk in Washington DC from 1980 to 1990, this is the definitive film about the scene that spawned Minor Threat, Bad Brains, Rites of Spring and Fugazi. This was a true DIY movement, driven by artists determined to sidestep the music industry. Henry Rollins, Thurston Moore and Ian MacKaye are just some of the notable contributors.

While this thread is up top, I've been super inspired by John Joseph recently. I've always loved the first Cro-Mags record but only recently found out from listening to his audio book what a badass mother fucker he is. Check out this on his vegan diet and competing in Iron Man events!

This is well worth a listen if you have an hour too!

Listened to G.L.O.S.S. last night, not come across them before. They are amazing. Something about them reminds me the bands I loved when I first started listening to punk and hardcore. Reall energy with a point to make.

When I lived in Surrey I went to London HXC shows quite a bit. Now I'm in Oxfordshire there isn't much happening locally. I went to a half-dayer in Nottingham last year that was fun. I've been getting into old screamo stuff lately (or "skramz" as the kids bizarrely call it nowadays??), Saetia, The Spirit of Versailles, In Loving Memory etc

I saw them a few weeks ago at The Unicorn. Loud!
I made the mistake of dragging my missus and she went back at home more furious than what she saw… Same thing happened a while ago at El Raval, in Barcellona, in there, on top of the melodies we must add that the public wasn't English…

Quite liked the song when just listening to it but then clicked on the tab & saw the video :-/
i will probably be underwhelmed and leave after 30 minutes of their set as i doubt they'll be playing witness from start to finish with no talking (pretty much all i want from a reunion). also it's at that fetid hole of repugnance and noxious scene posturing where dreams and humanity go to die (the underworld)
as always, stoked for this year's cry me a river , probably one of my favourite weekends of the year. sad that jungbluth aren't playing but the alpinist bassist's new band (svffer) are alright. tempest will be louuuud
