I'm not making dashi all yet... and this must be remedied. I'll probably go instant dashi as I don't have the facilities at work to be boiling up kombu and bonito flakes. Dried wakame goes in the soup too but isn't part of the dashi preparation (or lack of).

SBS
The thinking man's channel.
How crap is everything else on TV?! -
• #23404
It's shit...
I only ever watch SBS1, SBS2, the Food SBS channel and NITV... Nothing else is worth watching...

Does anyone know a venue with equipped kitchen for hire for one Saturday night, possibly in East London?
Birthday is coming up and I'd like to throw a dinner with some 60/70 friends, where I'd cook for everyone.. That's my bday gift to me. It doesn't need to be massive, nor have seating for everyone, it could be buffet dinner style. It's just that my apartment isn't big enough for all the ppl I'd like to invite.. You know #London

I'm going to go Black Axe Mangal tonight. Fave joint in London.
Twas great!
Squid Ink Cod flatbread - 10/10
Lettuce - is this like confit in buttahhh so buttery so good
Rubens - great, but loved their pickle esp.thanks for the tip. I'm like 12 mins walk away so this might have to be my top choice in take-away

Except I'm watching Pretty Woman on channel 7 right now... Younger cousins's favourite film, she made me watch it a hundred times... Inappropriate for a girl of her age, terrible justification...

Let me know what you find, I tried a couple of community places in Stepney/Wapping but no reply because they're complete shithouses.

That means 60 to 70 square plates multiplied by three courses?
Invite greenhell...

Yeah was going to wander over just fancied some flowers in tempuraish batter.
I loved these in my teens (allotment) and told people I ate them and they looked at me like I was a wierdo. Also ate rocket for years and then found out it was posh....

Anyone ever eaten posh in LA?
I'm off there in June with my parents and it's their 40th wedding anniversary whilst we're there. I would like to book a nice restaurant, any personal experience?

I miss SBS.
Lee Lin chin is just the best.

I've become addicted to SBS's Food channel*, loads of really shite Food Network shows but there is the odd diamond in there... But tbh it doesn't really matter, I watch ALL OF IT!
Airing right now is Mystery Diners, one of the most fake undercover string shows I've ever seen... Can't take my eyes off the screen!!!
