Rain + headwind
This was my morning. Bleugh. Need to go out soon for a job, want to stay in the warm.

To the bunch of undereducated neanderthal cunts trying to force me of the road around Oval just now: I hope you spend the rest of your life trying to get somewhere you only end up getting at the same speed as the cyclist next to you due to traffic light sequences.
Yes, I know there was a cycle lane next to me. Fuck off.
Ah yes... that feels better.

Was a couple of feet away from getting t-boned to oblivion at Trafalgar Square this morning by a car jumping a red. Scary! He had his -driver breaking the law but staring blankly straight ahead- face on

Yup. Glorious sunshine when I left the house - so thought I'd ride in my work clothes. Great idea.
On the bright side, the rain really helped with my hangover, so it's not all bad.

Not exactly today's commute but ..........riding home on Monday evening - going North on 7 Sisters Road at the tube station junction I'm going thru green and there's nothing around me and a guy (dressed all in white) in a pure shiny white BMW coming South turned right in front of me, didn't stop but blocked me and despite hitting the anchors hard I hit his rear nearside panel and launched. I called the police and ambulance whilst he stood next to me saying it was an accident. In the end the police took me and my bike to Whittington Hospital - thanks guys - even bought me a coffee. I'm sore as hell literally and otherwise. My bike is wrecked/bent/fecked. I've a good witness - I think. Talking to Leigh Day solicitors. Be careful out there. PS - 16,000 miles on that Alex front rim......

tube in as going to footy later... crammed in with insane looking ginger fellow murmuring under his breath into my ear. He was reading a weighty thousand-page Elvis Costello biography. Reminded me why bike - 4.1/10
Also spotted a LFGSS cap on the junction betwixt Lambeth North tube and Kennington Rd last night, wearing a pair of Giro empires. Blasted off at the lights never to be seen again.

Were there a bunch of new driving licenses handed out for 2016? It's like all the bus drivers have suddenly lost the ability to deal with me on the road again. They're normally ok. Maybe it's the new freedom they have with fewer drivers out due to the half term thing?

And the 'I'm a courier' guy last night was a laugh.

Set off in glorious sunshine, rode into a dark grey blob and found it was full of freezing rain and hail. I'm now wearing all my dry clothes and clutching a cup of coffee. Boo.

Tube today because I am utterly knackered from endlessly carrying water around and around at the velodrome. Odd that the Piccadilly line commuters all had to MOT their Audis on the same day.

Tried to chat to a fellow commuter this morning about how unwise it was to dart in and out of parked cars without shoulder checking. She was so keen to avoid being spoken to she looked away and swanned across to the other side of the road (again without looking to see if it was safe to do so). I'm sure she will be fine though - she had a hi-viz tabard.

ouch, glad you could walk away...
It's bloody warm out there. I regretted not wearing shorts very quickly.
