Hey guys, thank you all for your votes and participations
Congrats to @mi7rennie for the second place and @MrDrem hope you will help with thevoting again :)Since some of you gave away your votes yesterday i started thinking of a new theme in case i won.
I went back and forth with this, at first i was thinking a "fill the frame" theme, then the opposite kinda like an "empty space" theme. Then my Facebook wall was filled with the Oscars so i started thinking about a cinematic theme. Which led me to my favourite director Stanley Kubrick.
Among some of his techniques in filming was the use of symmetry and one point perspective. This can of course be applied to photography so this is the theme. So about the theme. Post a photo that shows that technique, symmetry (some say Kubrick wanted to show that we are "trapped" in symmetry, so showing something trapped in symmetry would be great), one point perspective as Kubrick used in films like the Shining, Full metal Jacket, space odyssey and A Clockwork Orange. Cinematic crop optional :)
a video showing some examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2yqw7qGrgU
a nice article about Kubricks style: https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-definitive-style-of-Stanley-Kubrick
Film grabs of Kubricks movies: http://film-grab.com/category/stanley-kubrick/
I have no idea what i'm going to shoot. Hope we all get creative with this one.
I will name it #Kubrick

Awesome theme. Gutted I can't use these, but thought I'd repost some shots from a few weeks ago for some more group inspiration.

Just to point out that the one point perspective in not the only thing that should be depicted.
I was going more for symmetry in regards to confinement, giving you a feeling of uneasiness(?) kind of.. i can describe this in greek :)so yeah. confined/constrained in symmetry
but one can interpret the theme anyway he/she likes and the rest can decide which one they like.

^ good to point out. Although it's a lot harder to think about conceptually or in a abstract manner. will be interesting to see peoples interpretation.

haha, yeah... I'm going to stick to a single frame. Ever the pedant.
Will play around with the 2.35:1 ratio though.Someone should do an entry with Cinestill...

It seems that a lot of people don't have the time. i don't know if we can change the format a bit in the future, maybe a 10 day period for shooting and a day of voting. because know we have about 6 days to shoot only.

^I agree with that.
Been struggling to find the time myself.
You'd miss me.
