Man, that sounds so scary. Glad to hear he's making a recovery.
Ours has started going out since moving to a place with a garden and cars are obviously the main worry.
He keeps getting in to very dramatic sounding fights that we can only hear a few gardens away with other cats though - he's the new kid on the block so the local felines don't recognise his territory yet.
Are cat fights mostly shouting matches and stand-offs? It sounds like they're killing each other but there's not a scratch to be seen when he comes back, other than scuffs on his pads from climbing on people's sheds.
