Perhaps not 10% but enough to pick up a nice speed or work up a good sweat depending on what way you're going.
Of course the near miss was on the way down for that little extra fun :)
Ah right, the suburbs. My friend took my down Rocky Road (near Forestside) once without forewarning me. The 90 degree bends are fun at that kind of angle.
There's MTB trails on cavehill and belvoir ("beaver") park too if you're into scary bends :)
