Right, I think I'm going to go for the CDF20. Unfortunately none of the lbs have them in stock so I need some INTERNET BIKEFITZ
My current road frame is a 56cm Cervelo 2007 soloist team (same geometry as an S1 (opens as .pdf)). This gives me a current stack of 560 and reach of 394. plus I run c.20mm of spacers and a 100mm stem.
Obviously my position on the CdF will want to be a lot more relaxed (I was thinking I'd possibly bring my bars up 10mm and back 10mm) but my reading of the CdF geometry table is that my reach would be a pretty good fit on the medium (10mm shorter than my road bike) but that the stack would be 33mm higher meaning that I'd only just achieve the correct position with the stem slammed and have no wriggle room for going any lower.
The alternative would be to go for the small CdF which has only 12mm more stack than my road bike and although it's also shorter, I could possibly make it work with a longer stem (110mm).
Which option makes more sense, and is moving the bars up and back 10mm each an appropriate adjustment from road to CX/touring?
At 6' I'm inclined to go with the medium as a small sounds a bit ridiculous.

I'd buy immediately any bike that would fit me with a 110mm slammed stem.

Medium CdF will do for you with a 110mm stem*
*The Croix de Fer come with a pretty short 70mm bar.

BTW Croix de Fer 20 is pretty awesome, especially the combination of the HY/RD-C, Tiagra and compressionless.

I'm sure that could easily go down to 9kg with some 35s and a wheel upgrade

It's more for the money and equipment it's a pretty good weight.
But you're right, can be down to 9kg with lightweight wheels and tyres.

Hmmm, not bad at all, sub 1K and with hydraulic disks!

I know it's over a grand but this is my new whip... it's a great bike so far although it looks like my stem is slightly different for some reason.

10 speed Di2. Canti brakes.
Surprisingly not a bargain.
Nothing against 10 speed but Shimano has phased all Di2 10 speed out.

Still very tempting as would make a great winter bike, despite the extremely high trail.

What would @snottyotter say?

<3 Cantis.

None of this is a problem.
Heavy frame would be a problem.

I wouldn't worry about groupset obsolescence in CX, as everything appears to get trashed after a Winter of racing.

Think Andy Han has one of these. Seems to do well on it.....

Yup, Belgians love a canti. Especially those with a pro mechanic to get them set up correctly.

Any bikes worth looking at. Im looking at more commuting focused (i.e mudguards etc) than full on carbon frame. I was going to use my c2w but i feel its limits me in terms.of having a decent spec so may just do 0% for the payment albeit i lose the savings

And an unlimited supply of replacement rims
I got my Gt grade 105 at thebikeshop.de, 1400 quid at the time. They still have some sizes of the 2015 version.
