1x10 without a wide narrow chainring - does it work?
I've got a clutched rear mech and this bike is ridden on road, albeit through potholes and hopping off kerbs.
I've been running 1x10 on the road all winter without narrow-wide chainring or clutch mech without problem - Sram Red shifter, Dura-Ace 7800 crank and Dura-Ace 44t chainring, Sram Force rear mech, Ultegra 12-25 cassette.
What kind of rings are you using? Regular rings with shifting aids like ramps and pins, or 3/32 single-speed rings?
