My card was maxed out on Monday. So I can't even use it, so I pay off a few thou, can I use it? Can I fuck. "Sorry sir, it takes days for that to clear". "WTF?!" "Ok, can I bump my limit up because this is bullshit, I can't use my card". "Sorry sir but because you've gone over your limit your card has been flagged as -fucked- and now we have to wait for it to be marked by our systems as -unfucked- before we can increase your limit". "Why can't you manually unfuck it? You can see I've just paid a wad off cash into the credit card account?!" "Sorry sir... "
Fucking banks >>>

No chance. That thing barely stops as it is, I'm not riding it down a fucking mountain.

• #380
No Diverge frameset either. They've just lost themselves a few grand.
-
• #381
Yeah, its totally shithouse. Meanwhile I'm fending off a friend who wants me to commission him at enormous expense to fab a steel monstrosity that he will "weld" together.

A grand is a lot of beer.
-
• #384
I have its groupset :-)
-
• #385
Strong list, there is a 56cm synapse in black/grey frame only here: https://www.evanscycles.com/cannondale-synapse-hi-mod-disc-2015-road-bike-frame-EV246243

• #386
That's what I said to Scherrit. Actually I said 'coffee' but I was thinking 'beer'. Shh
-
• #387
Great, I'm trying to reduce the list ya bastard! :P
£1800 Focus Cayo L S/R = 569/400
£1800 Pivot Vault M S/R = 570/388
£2400* Spesh Diverge 56cm S/R = 590/387
£1000 'dale Synapse 56cm S/R = 590/386
£800 Gen Datum M S/R = 585/385Why are Triton flogging them at near twice the price?
-
• #388
No idea. Although I see that my horse is winning ;)
-
• #389
Which one? You've tempted me with that Cannondale. Only a little more expensive than the Datum and they've been doing carbon a lot longer. Having to go for the Medium Datum frame worries me a bit too. Then again so does the odd seatpost size of the crack'n'fail.
-
• #390
£200 is a lot of beer too ;)
DJ has that dale in 56 I think, only reason they are cheap is because last year's model. Worth noting that it has 25.4mm seatpost that is not easily available.
-
• #391
Yes, £200 buys a lot of beer but Cannondale should have their carbon nailed right? Datum is only 2nd carbon frame from Genesis.
cough
Then again so does the odd seatpost size of the crack'n'fail.

• #392
Yep and BB30a
-
• #393
Who said what now? dafuq is BB30a? What happened to plain ol' BB30? Datum is BB86 isn't it? I can't keep track of all this shit. I already have BB30 on my Shiv, Tarmac, etc.
-

http://wheelsmfg.com/bb30a-tech-info
The BB30a is similar to the BB30 standard, but the frame BB shell is 5mm wider on the non-drive side. BB30a system uses thin spacers and/or a wave washer between the bearings and the crank arms to take up any slack and micro-adjust the chainline of the crank.
-
• #396
Yeah, so I'd need to use 24mm adapters to run Shimano cranks, like I do with my Shiv? I can handle that.
-
• #397
want to come and steal my synapse?
Sure. Wait, you've moved haven't you? Which part of town you at these days?
-
• #398
New Malden
(so 5 minutes from Richmond Park - Kingston Gate)
bike is a 56, has speedplay pedals, di2, crabon wheels and hydro disc brakes
-
• #399
You don't need that. I'll take it off your hands for a while...
-
• #400
call me if you want to take it out for a spin
I'm worried about long and steep descents like 10% avg incline, 15km long, hairpins and blind curves. Not sure if you have tried something like that where you live :(. I got friends that do that with 140 front and rear, but they have a common weight/height, I'm 6'3" and trying to keep under 85kg, but like to recover descending what the midgets normally get away from me on the climbing.
