Places not to lock your bike (anywhere near a road)...
Friend and colleague @tapsnbath spotted it when she went for lunch, along with note attached. Spoke to the person that left it who turned out to be the perpetrator. He was apologetic enough despite repeatedly making the point that he was honest enough to fess up.
Told him that new rim and spokes would be eighty quid, and that since he'd owned up and I'm happy to rebuild it myself, I'd let him off the extra £20-30 which that would otherwise cost. Didn't seem to have a problem with that but won't have the cash until he gets paid next month, here's hoping the clumsy twat doesn't have a change of heart in the meantime.
